And you thought the Uncharted brand would be shelved. Ha! Uncharted: The Lost Legacy continues the popular adventure series with a new center protagonist. Nathan Drake may be retired, but his friend Chloe Frazer (first introduced in Uncharted 2) is more than ready to carry the torch onward.
Naughty Dog pulled a bit of a fakeout with this trailer, which first appeared during Playstation Experience in Anaheim this morning. It just started up with no title or developer brand, and showed a disguised woman in a hijab wandering around a Middle Eastern area. She dodges streetfights and vicious soldiers, and is almost caught more than once, but finally reaches the rooftop where she’s expected to meet someone….only to have that person pull out at the last second. Then she IS caught.
We’ve been led to believe we’re looking at the next Tomb Raider game, until the woman takes off her hood to reveal herself as Chloe. She’s suddenly joined by Nadine Ross from Uncharted 4 and together they make quick work of their attackers.
No release window for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was announced, but considering we just got Uncharted 4, it may be a while.
