Yes, I said “how,” not “where,” because the cryptic tweet that hinted at The Last Guardian’s appearance was a bit misleading. The Last Guardian, the game, may not have any new footage at Tokyo Game Show. But the Last Guardian itself will be in attendance. (Assuming the creature is the Last Guardian and not the boy.)
Some new tweets went out from genDesign confirming the plans. genDesign is the name of the studio making the game. They revealed a special theater will be set up to screen The Last Guardian and outside, Trico, the griffin-thing shown in The Last Guardian’s game footage, will be projected six meters high. Thanks to technology being indistinguishable from magic, he’ll be able to interact with visitors.
genDesign says Trico will be controlled by the same AI at the booth as he will in the game. If you get the chance to attend TGS 2015, stop by Trico’s cage and have a little chat with him.
It is unknown what will be shown inside the Last Guardian booth — new or used footage. If it’s new, expect a follow-up post from us with the embedded video.
