The long-awaited crossover game between the worlds of Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei, after being teased for years, finally has a release date in Japan. Nintendo announced today the game would be released on December 26. Just in time for Christmas…..oh, wait.
Nintendo also announced that there will be a deluxe limited edition package for the game, called the “Fortissimo Edition.” Inside the Fortissimo Edition will be a soundtrack CD and an art book, as well as digital codes to download DLC costumes. For those who might buy a Wii U just for this game, there’ll also be a bundle that includes a system, the game, three DLC quests, adhesive stickers and more.
The game’s Japanese title is “Genei Ibun Roku #FE,” which I hope will be changed before its Western release. It’s true that we’ve gotten a lot of weird unmarketable titles untouched lately, but I would think in this case the word “Roku” wouldn’t pass trademark.
There is no word on an American or European release date, but the game has been confirmed for a Stateside release eventually.
