The Hollywood Reporter reports that actress Florence Henderson died on Thursday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles from heart failure, she was 82.
Henderson was known to TV audiences as Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, and reprise the role in various Brady Bunch spin-offs and TV movies.
After The Brady Bunch was cancelled in 1974, Henderson became the spokeswoman for Wesson cooking oil. She also became the host of Country Kitchen, a cooking show on TNN (The Nashville Network). She also made guest appearances on TV shows like The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Murder, She Wrote, and Roseanne; and movies like Shakes the Clown, Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult, Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, and as the Bradys’ grandmother in The Brady Bunch Movie. She also appeared in the Weird Al Yankovic video, Amish Paradise.
Henderson’s voice credits include Demeter in Disney’s Hercules, Mallory Mastermind on Loonatics Unleashed, and as Sheriff Stone’s mom on Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. Her last voice role was as The Grand Mum on Sophia The First.
Her final TV appearance was on Dancing with the Stars. She sat in the audience giving support to her Brady Bunch co-star Maureen McCormick.
