Adventure Time Announcement

The Hollywood Reporter covers Cartoon Network’s announcement that Adventure Time will be ending when it’s ninth season wraps up production, with new episodes airing through 2018. The hit series, created by Pendleton Ward, has earned six Emmy awards and several BAFTA and Annie Awards. The show has accumulated a massive fanbase, including the crew of The Simpsons, which paid tribute to the series in the opening credits of the Season 28 premiere.

It had to end at some point, and now we know that point is coming. Adventure Time will be ending after season 9.

Not a bad run at all. 8 years is forever in kids TV, so that’s an amazing feat that it managed to survive as long as it has.

That’s kinda sad, despite that now we know that a lot of shows are ending (except WBB, TTG, and NuPPG), first Uncle Grandpa, Then Regular Show, and Gumball, now this, the next is SU and Clarence, i believe that between 2017-2018 is going to be some what a depressing year despite that this year is predicting a lot of shows from Disney to CN, marking it death spot.Forums: Adventure Time Ending in 2018 – News & Discussion Thread- Cartoon Network Forum
Okay first off Gumball isn’t ending, his creator is just leaving the show. Second Clarence does seem likely to end due to it’s ratings but considering the popularity of Steven Universe and the merchandise sales I find it very unlikely it’s going to end anytime soon.
Not only that, they haven’t been much updates about show for awhile, so it’s hard to tell whether it’ll met it’s fate alongside with the others, and the TAG blog is not being very clear whether the show is or is not in production, that could be that is hasn’t been update for awhile and that’s probably the only confirmation that they got, while for SU may only go for one more season, i don’t think that there’s a possibility that they’ll go for a sixth season, while for Gumball, i don’t know if they’ll continue with the creator in presence, it’s better to end in it’s own terms.

Maybe even slightly longer. I don’t know why Neoplan Dan thinks they won’t do a sixth season. All they said was is that they don’t whether or not they’ll be a sixth season. But considering the show’s ratings here and in foreign countries (#1 Kids Show in France) and the merchandise sales even CN wouldn’t be that stupid to cancel the show.

As for Gumball, Adventure Time did well without Pendleton Ward whose to say Gumball won’t be different?
