When the PS4 Pro hits shelves on November 10, several of this holiday season’s games will be shipped compatible with the higher specs, while some pre-existing games will be patched after the release with graphical enhancements. Square-Enix’s Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be there on launch day, arriving at the same time as the console.
David Anfossi, studio head at Eidos’s Montreal studio, feels targeting the release of the Deus Ex sequel to the PS4 Pro was a no-brainer. “We are always working to push ourselves to the very limit in regards to the art direction of our games,” he said.
Square-Enix’s press release, which brought the announcement, follows. All PS4 Pro games will be cross-compatible with the original model.
MONTRÉAL – September 7, 2016 – Today, Square Enix® and Eidos®-Montréal announced that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™, is coming to the PlayStation®4 Pro (PS4®Pro) computer entertainment system. The game will be available on November 10 with the new console from Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).
With PS4 Pro, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has had a whole new layer of detail added to it: overall resolution increased, aliasing reduced, reflective surfaces improved, and more detailed lighting effects implemented, all without compromising the frame rate or the gaming experience.
