The South Park kids are back, but this time, they’re suiting up. In Fractured But Whole, the gang have ditched their fantasy gear and have “become” superheroes. You, as the new kid, have to once again climb the social ladder and try and repair the damage by the “Civil War” that has come from the groups transformations.
It’s clear that the writers, including South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Park, have gone all out in their superhero references and characteristics. From simple nods to all out callouts to key Marvel and DC Comics characters, Fractured But Whole is an Easter Egg paradise.
Furthermore, keeping true to the “continuity” the town itself has been reconfigured to keep it line with what happened in Stick of Truth as well as the latest season of South Park. The additions will apparently add more layers for fans to enjoy.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole will release December 6, 2016. You can check out the PAX West demo below
