Nintendo of America released a new video this week for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, showcasing one of the new techniques for Link in the game. You can check out the video with new gameplay footage in the player below.
So Link in the game will be able to paraglide across the world map throughout the game. From the video it looks like Link will be able to shoot his arrow and pull off some aerial-based attacks as well. That looks like an overall fun mechanic for the game. The para-gliding just looks so fun and peaceful overall.
On top of that, Nintendo revealed during the Nintendo Direct stream some new Amiibo for The Legend of Zelda: 8-bit Link, Ocarina of Time Link, and a two-pack of Link and Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. These Amiibo are set to have special functionality with Breath of the Wild next year as well.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is due out later next year. The game is scheduled for a release on the Wii U and the upcoming Nintendo console, which is codenamed the Nintendo NX. Here’s an official synopsis for the game:
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, more than 100 Shrines of Trials dot the landscape, waiting for players to discover and explore them in any order they want. As players work their way through the traps and puzzles inside, they’ll earn special items and other rewards that will help them on their adventure. Puzzles in the game often have multiple answers, and secrets can be found everywhere. Exploration and discovery are a huge part of the fun.
