Over the past few seasons, The Simpsons has been lending its couch gag space to guest animators and other creatives. This coming Sunday, a new couch gag will debut animated by Eric Goldberg, who worked on classic 2-D animated Disney movies such as Aladdin. He’s also worked on more recent films such as Wreck-It Ralph and Disney’s next animated feature, Moana. You can watch the full couch gag below. It may be the coolest one yet — yes, even better than the Rick & Morty one.
The whole sequence is animated fluidly and faithfully, even adding the detail of Baloo Homer being animated with scratchy Xerography lines. As for the thumbnail you’re seeing, the Simpson family is naturally disappointed when they have to return to their normal budget. ‘Cept Bart for some reason.
The entire episode airs Sunday on Fox.
