Electronic Arts announced not too long ago that it would not have a booth on the E3 show floor this year. Instead they’ll be hosting their own event, EA Play, near the convention. What has now come to light is that EA Play will take place simultaneously across two countries: a UK version of the event will be held in London on the same day!
The events are called Play LA and Play London respectively, and they will both host press conferences, though it’s unknown if they will differ in any way. The best thing about EA Play (besides the fact that Brits can participate) is that, unlike E3 where press credentials are needed, anyone can get in and mess with the game demos. However, this WILL require the purchase of a ticket, and there are a limited number of tickets. Keep an eye on the EA Play website to find out when exactly these go on sale — EA has said nothing so far.
As for which games will be playable, no one knows yet. Titanfall 2 has been confirmed to have a presence at the event, but whether that means demos or not, we can’t say.
