We’ve heard rumblings that we’ll eventually be getting a GTA 6, but for those still waiting impatiently for single-player DLC to come to GTA V, that wait may never end. They’re simply making too much money from GTA Online. Today another report came out proving how much.

The source this time doesn’t come from Rockstar directly, but from Leslie Benzies’ lawsuit against them (see previous newspost). It’s been revealed in the court documents that GTA Online has, so far, raked in over $500 million in revenue, solely from microtransactions (those extra items that cost real money, which you aren’t dumb enough to buy but someone is). For a console game, this is huge: Halo 5 has brought in $1.5 million from in-game purchases.

“GTA Online has the potential to achieve the greatest profit margin of any game created in the GTA franchise,” reads a line from the lawsuit. It goes on to say that GTA Online’s microtransactions create a “nearly 100 percent profit margin” since there is no middleman. Since Benzies overlorded the series while this feature was in development, he wants a giant slice of cake NOW.

GTA Online’s next update hits today, April 12.
