Wikipedia: “In ancient Greek literature, an EIDOLON is a spirit-image of a living or dead person; a shade or phantom look-alike of the human form.” I think this might explain something… but for now, we’re playing Eidolon, a minimalist survival exploration game. It’s in the same genre of “relax em-up” atmospheric games like Proteus, Mountain, or even Minecraft (the way I play it).
