Warner Bros. has moved Wonder Woman to a new release date. Originally scheduled to release on June 23, 2017, Warner Bros. has now moved the superhero-themed flick up three weeks to June 2, 2017.
In the new date slot, Wonder Woman will now be released on the same weekend as “Bad Boys 3” and kiddie book adaptation “Captain Underpants” – much easier competition than the prior release date when it was slotted to compete against the newest installment in the “Transformers” franchise. Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot in the lead role.
In addition to Wonder Woman being moved, the studio also announced that an “Untitled WB Event Film” will be released on October 6, 2017 as well as some “Untitled DC Films” to be released on October 5, 2018, and November 1, 2019, respectively.
