Activision made it official today and announced a release date for the XBox version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3: Awakening, the first of four DLC packs. It’s already on the market, but as a Playstation exclusive.
The date shouldn’t surprise anyone, as it’s very similar to when the exclusivity deal was on the opposite end. XBox owners will get Black Ops 3: Awakening precisely one month after Sony owners got it. Awakening hit Playstation 4 on February 2; it will hit XBox One on March 3.
XBoxers should expect what Sony-ers got: four new multiplayer maps known as Skyjacked, Splash, Gauntlet, and Rise. It’s also got a new Zombies map, Der Eisendrache, which picks up where the previous Zombies map, The Giant, left off.
Black Ops 3’s next DLC pack does not have a release date yet, but if the pattern holds, we will be likely hearing about it shortly after the XBox version of Awakening is released.
