Josh Brolin is the one who’ll be playing cosmic supervillain Thanos in the next few Marvel movies, especially Infinity War parts 1 and 2. It was Brolin who appeared in purple at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and as the conflict leading to his creation of the Infinity Gauntlet winds to its inevitable point, Brolin will be appearing a lot more. Last night he stopped by Conan O’Brien’s desk to tell a tale of what that major role wound up doing for him.
CONAN: You are going to play Thanos in “Avengers Infinity War” and I don’t realize — know if you realize what you are getting into. Andy and I did a week of shows at Comic-Con and now that you are playing Thanos, this is going to change your life.
JOSH: No, no. I was in Albuquerque and playing a — doing a movie called “Sicario” and at the end of the area was a little comic book store. I didn’t know much about Thanos, I liked Hulk, Thor, that kind of thing, so I went in the store wanting to get more information.
