Stretch and his Flex Fighters are coming to Netflix, the streaming service announced on Thursday. Stretch Armstrong was the classic 1970s toy from Hasbro that could have his arms and legs [or torso] stretched to ridiculous lengths – and now he has his own animated show on Netflix.
“Stretch Armstrong” – the show – will be about Jake Armstrong and his two best friends. The group is accidentally exposed to an experimental chemical which turns them into Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters, a team of superheroes with “powers” of elongation.
“Stretch Armstrong” will be a 26-episode series and has a tentative release date in late 2016.
