Marvel’s Jessica Jones, the second in a planned three-show string of mature Marvel programs for Netflix, will launch on the streaming service this November. Until now, we haven’t gotten a single glimpse of what the new show will look like. Not even the trailer released last week was any help, being mostly cryptic and showing abstract images.
Today that changed when Marvel released five screenshots from the show. These were posted online by TV.com.
Krysten Ritter plays the titular character, a former superhero who suffers a tragedy and is forced into retirement, becoming a detective.
David Tennant is Kilgrave AKA The Purple Man, the series’ Big Bad and the one responsible for Jessica’s tragedy.
Mike Colter plays Luke Cage, who in the comics has a relationship with Jessica (their status in this series is unknown). Cage will be the star of Marvel’s third Netflix series later.
Ritter with Carrie-Anne Moss, who plays a character named Harper.
Rachael Taylor plays Trish, Jessica’s friend.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones debuts with 13 episodes this November 20 on Netflix.
